Violet Flower Water

Violet Flower Water

My goodness I can’t believe that it I so long since I sat down to write my blog!

Today I am going to make a violet flower water after having grown the beautiful plants for two years I now have enough to crop – although it felt very mean to cut the flowers as so few plants are flowering at the moment…

The macerated frankincence oil I made in february smells sublime, and has really taken on the full strength of the resin tears. I will decant it later in the month.

So excited about the workshops in Coughton Court April 25th and Charleston April 26th. I have been planing what to do, sourcing bottles, mixing the oils in preparation and hoping that the sun will shine so I will have plants to distill!

I have been to Scotland to deliver the Scottish range of Bog Myrtle soaps, body butters and body mists to the Village Shop and Post Office in Acharacle in the Ardnamurchan Peninsula – the most beautiful area in Scotland.

I did a variety of walks with the soap, as the weather was so crisp and dry – too dry really as the heathers, grasslands and mosses were all brittle and yellow, with no new growth. Whilst we were up there we saw wildfires around the mountains behind Strontian and Eileen Shona, troubling for the wildlife, especially Eagles in the area.

I used the healing body butter with the healing soap when I was going through treatment for breast cancer; it kept my skin soft and stopped any infection. I would recommend for other women who are going through this medical procedure. Thank you. M.S Stratford
