Hook Norton Brewery has standards. Grooming standards. So when they asked me to develop a range of traditional male grooming products with a modern Hooky twist I wasn’t surprised and looked forward to working with the team again.
In came the Hooky Shaving Soap in a hand-thrown Hook Norton Pottery shaving dish with an ergonomic thumb hold, an After Shave Hooky Balm and a Boar bristle Shaving brush – everything for a modern groomed man.
The Hooky soap blended so well with the beer – balanced, golden bitter, hoppy and citrusy to the nose.
I developed the Hooky Hop Shaving Soap in a soap dish made in Whichford Potteries by Tom, the grandson of Russell Collins who was the founder of Hook Norton Potteries.
Hook Norton Potteries has been taken over by Whichford Potteries, however Tom specialises in Hook Norton Potteries and worked with me to get the design just right.
It is a simple round design with a thumb hold to enable you to securely hold the dish without it swizzling round and spraying you with lather – it is all about control and enjoyment of your ablutions.
